2016 Pinot Gris Clos Jebsal, Sélection de Grains Noble, Zind-Humbrecht

2016 Pinot Gris Clos Jebsal, Sélection de Grains Noble, Zind-Humbrecht

A sweet wine from a plot that typically get Botrytis, this is a simply remarkable wine for the price. Notes of peaches and honey are supported by wet stones and smokiness. Brilliant, it's a half-bottle that everyone should have squirrelled away.

Tasting notes

Forget the dessert and just grab a half bottle of this stunning dessert wine. Plenty of concentration and an intense creme-brulee character, but it is neither as massive or as sweet as many of the previous vintages of this wine. This makes it very easy to enjoy. Drink or hold, and 20 years of aging is no a problem at all.
