After the Rotenberg it seemed unlikely that the other Pinot Gris SGN would compete, but……The intensity here is extraordinary, packed with honeyed fruits, this time more toffeed, with notes of caramel adding to the juicy, tangy fruits. Dried apricot characters, and an intense sweetness, expansive and expressive. This reveals tremendous persistence – crucially once more the acidity that is present more than carries the wine. A great wine of tremendous poise, awe-inspiring purity and huge potential.
