This is a wine of contrast: while the nose is reserved and almost exclusively peppery and savoury, the palate is full-bodied and driven by notes of clove and roasted hazelnuts. The finish lingers into the realm of marmalade, then fresh citrus fruit. This fat, spicy and savoury number is one of the most seductive white Hermitages made by Chapoutier.
