Le Méal displays a terrifically perfumed nose, with rich blackberry, wild flowers and a touch of olive tapenade. The palate is completely saturated with glorious black fruit and surrounded by lashings of velvety tannins. Underneath these layers of rich fruit, there is a savouriness that gives the impression of wet granite, adding complexity. Although this is actually pretty approachable now and undeniably gorgeous, there is such potential for ageing.
