The domaine was split in half last year and Thierry Sabon is pretty convincing when he says that he retained the best situated and oldest vines as they are harder to work. This is certainly an exceptional ‘Clos’ with a higher proportion of Syrah than usual giving a lively edge to the core of spicy red fruit.
