2008 Côtes du Rhône Villages Rouge, Domaine Rouvre Saint Léger, Laudun
Fragrantly pure on the nose, with notes of violet and dark berries. On the palate this is deliciously approachable with soft, finely-realised tannins and a dart of freshness. Black currant and morello cherry fruit is seasoned by a touch of garrigue herb and subtle spice. The finish is long and attractive, with lingering notes of rich berry compote. Tremendous value for money.
