The final blend had not been assembled here when we tasted, so this is a representative note: Deep in the glass, with ripe, fresh, almost floral aromas of deep berry and herb. The palate possesses a soft attack and is layered and mouthfilling, yet refined. Very appealing, this shows a floral-lift on the palate, with enticing spiced raspberry fruit, notes of garrigue, and a liquorice-like character to the finish. The tannins are barely perceptible in this engaging forward-drinking Châteauneuf.
