A blend of different parcels in Côte-Rôtie, including Côte-Rozier, Champans and Besset. Showing a bright, crimson hue in the glass, the aromas here hinge on violet-edged cassis with an earthy note. On the palate there is a glorious intensity of dark, yet fragrant fruit, distinctly peppery, with a freshly-crushed sense of vibrancy. This is nonetheless taut, with a firm backbone and a discreet savoury complexity to the finish.
