While the nose hints at fruit, spice and game, the palate exhibits classic notes of liquorices and leather, and a drive that is not witnessed every year. There is tremendous length, a rolling, silky sensation shows great persistence. Above all it is the texture which singles this wine out, and completely masks its weight. Supple and yet strong, with silky, fine tannins, a sublime wine.
