Droin’s Vosgros is always one of the most striking and characterful wines at the domaine. Like Vaucopin, it is vinified and raised in stainless steel. But where the Vaucoupin is steely and straight, this has a richer volume, twinned with delicious purity. It shows lightly petrol-like notes on the nose, and has wonderful intensity on the palate, with lemon verbena and orange pith notes.

Here too there is a suggestion of the exotic suffusing the unusually fruity nose that offers just enough Chablis typicity to be interesting. The bigger and richer medium-bodied flavors are quite generous, even they're borderline creamy, though the supporting acidity is sufficiently firm to maintain the balance on the clean, dry and youthfully austere finish that possesses just a bit more depth.
