From a south-facing site called Les Pougets, Patrick and Marion’s Corton-Charlemagne has to be harvested early to ensure it doesn’t over ripen, particularly in a vintage like 2015. But they’ve got it right, and this is elegant and floral with a peachy, generous palate and impressive intensity on the finish. Rightfully called a Grand Cru.
