2020 Vosne-Romanée, Georges Mugneret-Gibourg

2020 Vosne-Romanée, Georges Mugneret-Gibourg

This might just be the best village Vosne out there. It comes from four parcels which host a variety of vine ages. The relatively high proportion of younger vines gives this cuvée an explosive, juicy structure. It is powerful and beautiful with silky tannins, and fresh high-acid fruit.

Tasting notes

The 2020 Vosne-Romanée Village comes from the four different parcels as usual. Matured in 25% new oak, it has a tightly wound bouquet with redcurrant and cranberry fruit, touches of violet unfolding with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a velvety texture, sensual and refined, extremely pure with not a hair out of place on the finish. Gorgeous.
