2014 Mazoyeres-Chambertin Grand Cru, Domaine Taupenot-Merme
One of the few producers who bottles both Mazoyères and Charmes, Romain’s Mazoyères has a darker profile with a more mineral, quartz feel to it. This is somehow at once both really fresh and brooding, with violets and crushed dark stones on the finish. Delicious, with great texture, lift and potential.
