2013 Beaune 1er Cru Grèves, Domaine de Montille
Beaune Grèves is quite rightly regarded as one of , if not the best vineyard in Beaune. It has a similar aromatic nose to Les Sizies, with lovely orange blossom tones and crunchy red fruit, on the palate it is very different indeed. Much more tannic, with darker fruit and more spice, this is really quite a serious wine that will benefit from medium term cellaring.
