This cuvée has a reputation for being a tannic, almost austere wine that needs time to harmonise, however in a year such as 2012, when tannins are really ripe and fruit-coated across the region, it becomes a dense, powerful wine dominated by plum with hints of cassis with a winter spice edge, with spectacular length. This will be much more approachable than most vintages of Pruliers, however it should still age beautifully.
