2011 Volnay 1er Cru Les Mitans, Domaine de Montille
This wine is made using 100% whole cluster fruit, a practice of which Etienne de Montille is very fond.The nose on this wine is very attractive, fragrant and appealing, with notes of raspberry fruit and sweet flowers. The tannins on the palate are silky-fine, with hints of smoky minerals and intense pure, red berry fruit. Finishes with a touch of white pepper and wood smoke. Beautiful.
