2011 Pommard 1er Cru Les Rugiens, Domaine de Montille
Darkly brooding, with notes of dark berry fruit on the nose. The palate is dominated by a concentrated dark plum fruit core, framed by structural tannins and a vein of fresh acidity. A hint of sweet, spicy oak comes through on the finish, alongside liqueur like black berry fruit and violet flowers. Attractive and appealing.
