2005 Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru Aux Champs Perdrix, Alain Michelot
Planted in 1937, this vineyard is located at the northern end of Nuits-Saint-Georges. This, combined with the steepness of the slope, leads to a dry premier cru. Here we see lovely crunchy fruit with hints of white pepper and spice. This is medium bodied and silkily graceful. The finish is firm but the tannins are fine grained and there is an incredible length of fruit.
