2004 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Beaux Monts, Jean Grivot

There is incredible intensity here. The wine is rich yet pure with notes of bramble fruit and hints of spice. Lovely flesh and succulence. The palate is a little more reserved but still displays fine richness of fruit. The finish is elegant and focused with tannins and acidity well integrated and masked by the pure velvet texture.
