One of the most powerful Margaux of the 1980s and 1990s. The nose is smoky, with vanillin sweetness and rich cassis. On the palate, this is bold and extracted, yet balanced, with very fine tannins. Blackcurrant and mocha fruit comes through, balanced by a lovely freshness and a hint of white flowers. A truly excellent wine.
