2021 Château Marsau, Côtes de Francs

2021 Château Marsau, Côtes de Francs

Tasted April 2022. Marsau seem to keep getting better and better. 2021 is full of creamy red fruits and a lovely saline, mineral, cooling freshness on the palate. The tannins are silky and provide just enough grip. The wine is soft and full on the mid-palate and finishes long and fresh thanks to some refreshing acidity.

Tasting notes

Undoubtedly, the 2021 Marsau has one of the best quality-to-price ratios in Bordeaux. A 100% Merlot, it reveals aromas of blackberries, flowers, spices, blackcurrant and blueberries, followed by an elegant, gourmand and medium-bodied palate enhanced by bright acids and velvety, fine-grained tannins. In the context of the vintage, it’s a real success.
