This tiny 2.4 hectare estate is situated on a south-facing slope, in the heart of the Pomerol appellation, within sight of Le Pin, with vines planted on gravel and old merlot on Pomerol’s famed blue clay. It's only going to gain further demand under the leadership of Guillaume Thienpont, who makes the wines at Le Pin and Vieux Château Certan.
Very deep and rich for this estate. I am blown away with the richness and complexity. It offers such depth of chocolate and red-fruit flavor. Full body and round, very fine tannins. The finish goes on for minutes. Chocolate and hazelnut undertones. Salty and minerally.
