The 2015 Baron de Brane shows just how good the 2015 vintage was in Margaux: this is a second wine of the highest calibre. There are grippy yet finely rendered tannins, with juicy dark fruit and a hint of violets and pencil shavings on the finish. Long and well-defined, it’s a wine that’s already very pleasurable. But the potential is plain to see here.
