Usually made in quite a modern style, Château Kirwan is an attractive wine in this vintage, with notes of compote-like fruit on the nose and a touch of vanilla spice. The palate is mouthfilling and dense, ripe tannins providing a broad framework for hedgerow fruit notes and bitter chocolate. A glossy and appealing wine, even at this early stage.
