2010 Château Le Crock, Cru Bourgeois St-Estèphe

2010 Château Le Crock, Cru Bourgeois St-Estèphe

A cru bourgeois drawn from the same stable as Léoville-Poyferré, this is a wine that always punches above its weight. Pure and fragrant on the nose, this is open and attractive on the palate. The fruit is expressive, balanced by fine, well-integrated tannins and given life by an attractive dart of mineral freshness.

Tasting notes

Well-concentrated blackcurrant fruit on the nose, very good natural ripeness, good fleshy, savoury fruit on the palate, natural sweetness and very good length with a slight St Estephe leatheriness, good future.

Steven Spurrier, Decanter
90/100

It exhibits a dense purple color followed by notes of roasted herbs, licorice, fruitcake and black currants. Medium to full-bodied and rich with moderate tannins as well as the distinctive earthy character that often comes from St.-Estephe.
