2010 Château Duhart-Milon-Rothschild, Cru Classé Pauillac

2010 Château Duhart-Milon-Rothschild, Cru Classé Pauillac

The family resemblance with Lafite is immediate - a solid backbone created by the Cabernet character is the predominant flavour at present. The extremely dry conditions during the growing season and harvest have led to extreme concentration, balanced by high levels of ripeness and strong but fine tannins. Unlike Lafite however, the initial tasting yields an immediate impression of beautiful dark fruits, coupled with those enormous tannins. Very closed, but very serious, with lots of savoury complexity of the finish.
