Made from a blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon and 13% Merlot, it is almost black, closed on the nose, but somehow finer than its stablemates tasted beforehand. At this stage there are obvious aromas of new oak, plus masses of extremely fine, well-integrated tannins. Following on from this, it is restrained with notes of very powerful black fruits. This is the key to 2010 - power, finesse, concentration, yet balance. A beautiful wine which will need many years of cellaring to sing, but which undoubtedly will be a classic.
