It is interesting that in 2009, where the Grand Vin did really well, the same has happened to the second wine. Alter Ego is virtually an equal blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. This again is very impressive, with a really deep colour and a sweet, potent black fruit nose. Masses of fruit on the palate and a bold finish make this a striking wine. Round, full and quite assertive under all that fruit. This will keep well.
