This is a deep, almost opaque purple in the glass, and really quite showyon the nose, exuding powerful, rich, dark bramble fruit. It is open andfull, and deliciously enticing. From the nose, one anticipates amonumental wine on the palate. However, the tannins, although firm,are fine and ripe, adding structure. The fruit is full, ripe and juicysuggesting bramble and cassis with a pleasant vein of fresh mineralityrunning throughout. Fresh on the finish with a plummy, stone-fruit note,this is really rather charming.
