2006 Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, Cru Classé Pauillac

2006 Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, Cru Classé Pauillac

Inky in appearance and bright crimson to the rim, the aromas here exhibit some restraint and hint at dark berry fruit. The palate is at once soft in texture and gently mouthfilling, revealing mid-weight, juicy cassis and blackberry fruit, with a pleasing sense of freshness. Currently slightly austere, this is sure to flesh out and take on weight during its élévage. There is already an appealing, succulent note to the finish and a distinctive mineral vein. Long and structured.
