2005 Château Petit-Village, Pomerol
Bright, ripe, brambly fruit scents and flavours are laced with spices.
Concentrated but with a deft touch. Petit-Village is putting together an
impressive run of form under AXA ownership and in our view the ’05 is
the finest wine to be produced at the Château for a considerable period
of time. Grippy tannins in the mid-palate support savoury, black fruit
flavours. A 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc
cuvee.
