2005 Château Haut-Brion, 1er Cru Pessac-Léognan

2005 Château Haut-Brion, 1er Cru Pessac-Léognan

The nose reveals wonderfully complex aromas of mulberry, spice and vanillin, with a lovely fragrant accent. The palate is opulent, layered and mouthfilling with a distinct sense of earthy minerality. Thick and dense, this remains poised and driven, with remarkably fine tannins, silky in their grip. Very precise, seamless with a gentle creamy vanillin coating to the fruit. Impeccable balance, very expressive and finely-honed, with a masculine tannic touch to the finish. Stunning Haut-Brion.
