2004 Château Margaux, 1er Cru Margaux

2004 Château Margaux, 1er Cru Margaux

The grand vin showed enormous promise at initial tastings. Floral, fresh and impressively pure on the nose with a palate that displays exquisite breeding and sophistication. There is a seamless textural quality here and a taut underlying structure. A gentle grip of tannin throughout with a freshness that leads to fine persistence of flavours. This is undoubtedly a beautifully honed margaux. Very pure, very balanced – a notable success. Highly recommended.
