2004 Château La Mission Haut-Brion, Cru Classé Pessac-Léognan

2004 Château La Mission Haut-Brion, Cru Classé Pessac-Léognan

Jean-Philippe Delmas explained that 69% of production at La Mission made the grade to the grand vin in 2004 compared to 60% in 2003. Super-rich, spicy fruit on the nose and with a wealth of succulent, black fruit flavours. Pessac-léognan’s classic mineralité courses through its veins. Very inviting and made in the natural, unforced style. Dry but ripe, this is fine bordeaux from a famous property that is under the same ownership as its neighbour Haut-Brion. An assemblage of 55% Merlot, 42% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc.
