In fact Rauzan-Ségla has proved remarkably consistent in recent years, standing testament to the considerable investment undertaken by the Wertheimer family. The 2002 Rauzan-Ségla possesses lifted scents of fresh, almost perfumed berry fruit and dark cherry. Refined and silky on the palate, with an overriding sense of balance and pleasing weight yet the accent is firmly placed on elegance. Mineral nuances are revealed to the finish as are some firm supportive tannins. A true success.
