Tasted immediately after Cos d'Estournel, Montrose gave the impression of revealing more lusciousness on the nose. Quite weighty in structure with grip and tannins in support. Strong black fruit palate and reasonably dense with a pleasing harmony. Typically firm saint-estèphe.
