2000 Château Potensac, Cru Bourgeois Médoc

2000 Château Potensac, Cru Bourgeois Médoc

Made by the Délon stable, which includes Léoville-Las-Cases, this shows not only its genetic pedigree, but also the style of the acclaimed 2000 vintage. Somewhat brooding in the glass, this opens out with time to show classic cassis notes and a touch of oak spice. The palate is refined and elegant, with dark berry fruit, fine tannins and mineral acidity working in unison. Described by Robert Parker as “the sleeper of the vintage”, at under £25 a bottle, this is a real find.
