2010 Barolo Case Nere, Enzo Boglietti, Piedmont

The clone planted in this great vineyard produces tannic wines which need bottle age. Always my favourite wine in the Boglietti range, the 2010 is a wine of huge promise. Brooding tarry fruit with notes of dried fruit and vanilla, firm yet ripe tannins and sublime balance, the finish goes on and on. 2010 seems to suit the Boglietti style very well.
