This premier cru from Domaine Comtesse Bernard de Cherisey is textbook Puligny: beautifully textured Chardonnay, with excellent length and depth. The Gevrey is made by Englishman, Mark Fincham, who's helped put this rising domaine on the map. En Pallud sits just below Mazis-Chambertin, in the heart of the village, and is a serious Gevrey: cool, fresh, mineral, and beautifully balanced Pinot Noir.
