A French Red Trio

A French Red Trio

We've selected three French reds drinking beautifully now: one from the southwest, Burgundy, and the Rhone. L'Enclos Pontys is drinking beautifully ten years on, a medium-bodied and silky example made by Bordelais star La Famille Chadronnier (behind Château Marsau). The red Burgundy is made from Pinot Noir grapes mostly from the Côte de Nuits, and singing now. The Côtes du Rhône, a Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre blend, comes from vines just outside of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and is just as classy.
