2014 Rocking Horse Cape White, Thorne & Daughters, Western Cape

2014 Rocking Horse Cape White, Thorne & Daughters, Western Cape

John Seccombe is a delightful family man, and his wines, and indeed the name of his winery, demonstrate his devotion to his family. The Rocking Horse was a toy made out of used oak barrels for John and Tasha's young daughter, and the wine shows some of this playfulness, with zingy notes of orange blossom and pithy grapefruit wonderfully balanced by a waxy texture and enchanting coolness. A wine to follow.
