The 2015 Mayacamas Cabernet Sauvignon is intense, powerful, and dense on the nose, with notes of underbrush, juniper, and deep, dark fruit. It’s on the palate, however, where the breeding really shows here, with incredible complexity, and refined, finessed tannins, that just seem to melt away. This is a lesson in balance: an astonishing wine from one of California’s historic estates.
