Considered as the best of the Chardonnay made by Peter Michael, the Ma Belle-Fille vineyard is planted with a very low-yielding clone, which gives this immense concentration and the ability to age. The nose is open and expressive, with notes of ripe apples, citrus, white flowers and some buttered toast notes. The palate is once more immediately exceedingly fresh and appealing, veiling a core of ripe white fruits. Complex spice and toasted hazelnut notes come through, alongside a flint-led minerality, on the finish, which is exceptionally long.
