2019 Sauvignon Blanc, Eaton Family Wines, Awatare - Flaxbourne
With fruit sourced from the Flaxbourne and Breezemere vineyard, this is an extraordinary expression of the grape, and just about as far as you can get away from the typical Marlborough Sauvignon. Utilising some skin contact, barrel ageing and full malolactic fermentation, it's lush, with complex aromas of pear, peach and subtle spice. Broad and yet mouth-watering finish.
