2005 Mount Edelstone, Henschke, Eden Valley
Deep in the glass, with powerful aromas of blackberry and plum, as well as a touch of mocha and a subtle eucalyptus freshness. The palate is concentrated, with ripe dark fruits and structural, yet fine, tannins. Mouthfilling and seamless, with a very long finish, this is classic Mount Edelstone from one of its greatest years.
“Purple-colored, the nose gives up notes of mocha, chocolate, smoked meat, pepper, leather, blueberry, and blackberry. Elegant, already complex, layered, and thoroughly satisfying...97 points.” Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, Issue 181.
