The 1999 has the typical deep colour of Il Carbonaione and exudes a soaring bouquet of ripe black fruits with notes of both spice and vanilla. The palate is rich and full-flavoured yet elegant and already shows complexity and maturity. The structure of the vintage is here as well as intense flavours. A fine effort.
