1967 Barolo Riserva, Giacomo Borgogno & Figli

1967 Barolo Riserva, Giacomo Borgogno & Figli

With over five decades of bottle age under its belt, this wine is a fantastic demonstration of just how well top Barolo ages. From the legendary 1967 vintage, the signature ageworthy style of Borgogno has softened over time, showing a delicate and ethereal nose of dried roses and cranberries. The freshness here is astounding. Fantastic with simply-prepared food, but certainly a talking point to enjoy on its own. It will have sediment but we would suggest not decanting to preserve the delicate character.
