The 2017 Brunello includes fruit that would normally go into Vigna Paganelli, the acclaimed Riserva here. And quality here is incredibly high. Baked earth, slightly smoky black fruit, and plenty of floral notes make this a very complex, delicious Brunello. It’s a real baby, and will need some time to come around: when it does, you’ll be delighted to have secured it.
