2014 Barolo Cicala, Poderi Aldo Conterno, Piedmont
The Cicala plot has the potential to produce 22,000 bottles, but in 2014 they only bottled 9,500. On the nose there’s notes of fresh Seville oranges and morello cherries. On the palate there’s crushed kernel and salinity, with lift and stunning length. Gorgeous.
