2013 Barolo Pira, Roagna

2013 Barolo Pira, Roagna

The Pira vineyard is the largest plot owned by the Roagna family, and it's a wonderful expression of Barolo from a clan with their roots in Barbaresco. This is elegant and ethereal, with notes of tar and rose petal, as well as dancing acidity and present yet perfectly judged tannins. This is a new level for Luca Roagna, who was already performing at the top of his game. A profound Barolo, it's a wine you should have in your cellar.
